Physical Education

Using the Physical Education Model Content Standards for California Public Schools as the basis of instruction, physical education will continue to be scheduled for all grade levels to include 100 minutes of physical education every ten school days as per state guidelines.  Specific skills and activities will continue to be planned by teachers, supervised by administrators, and implemented by paraprofessionals.

To support the goals of maintaining and improving the physical, mental, and overall well being of all students, in addition to the continued implementation of the physical education standards, the Charter School has developed Wellness Policies on Physical Activity and Nutrition according to federal guidelines.  The plan promotes healthy food choices throughout the school day, active physical participation by all students, and holds all stakeholders responsible for insuring that the full intent of the guidelines are met.
